■Banf Mountain　film Festival

今日は前から行きたいと思っていたBanfの山岳映画祭に行きました。初の山梨開催。２００人くらいは行っていたでしょうか・・・。　前売り１０００円。　採算取れたのかなぁ？

I have been to BANF Mountain Film Festival today, held in Yamanashi for the first time. It was just such a fine day today so I was already regretting not going to the mountains today, while I was on my way to the movie. The view of the mountains were great today, sky line was clear and sky was high, the sun was shining merrily... wind was a bit strong but it promises the nice view from the high mountains... not too hot not too cold... was a perfect day for outdoors.

しかし、今日は大快晴で、早くも登山に行かなかったことを後悔・・・。山好きは映画ではなくて、山に行くなって日でした。

さらに早くつきすぎ、時間を持て余す・・・

映画祭は、パタゴニアの主催でした。バンフというのはカナダの都市だそうです。今日は短い６作品をみました。

I've watched the following six short movies.... I felt the No.6 is excellent and felt so tight on my stomach when I had to watch a young man free soloing a big wall, such as  600 meter tall.   It's because I rock climb as myself too. I know how it feels like climbing without rope, even though my skill level is just a beginner's.

4. Reel Rock 7 Honnold　　ビッグウォールをフリーソロする若者の話
5. Poor mans heli　パラシュートヘリの話
6. North of the sun　極寒のサーフィンの話

最後のNorth Of the Sunが一番良かったと思ったのですが、４のフリーソロでビッグウォールに登ってしまうHonnold君の映像は、みている方もストレスが溜まりました。疲れる映画。

何しろ少しだけど岩をかじっているのでフリーソロを見ると、体が不自然に緊張してしまうのです。それでクリップすると、は～っと力が抜けます。６００ｍの岩壁をフリーソロとかなので、疲れてしまいました・・・。

■　登山の歴史への興味＝野心？

思ったのですが、最近の若いクライマーが登山史に興味がないのは、登山史の記録を塗り替えよう！という野心がないからかもしれません。

Perhaps, the reason why today's young climbers have no interest to the history of alpine climbing is because they seek no "record making"... no ambitions.

This young man... who became famous suddenly because of free soloing of a big wall, knew exactly what he should do to leave his name on the history of climbing... he knows what he should do to create a new "record".

The young climbers I've met here have not much interest to the climbing history, it seems. So the climbing is more of a "enjoyable hobby" than something "he puts his entire life to it".

Honnold君は、クライミングの歴史をしっかり調べて、何をすれば、自分がクライミングの歴史に名を残せるか、しっかり調べていました。作戦です。戦術家で、ただ好きに登っているだけで、まぐれで有名になったわけではありません。

逆を裏返せば、今の若い人がクライミングの歴史を知らないというのは、名を残したいという野心がないから、という意味なのかも・・・。今は一見危険に見えても、楽しく登るスタイルが主流なので。

山スキーでは、ホントに雪崩より早く駆け下りて（落下して？）いました。こういうスキーはアバランチシュートがいるな～と。ホントにスキーと言うより、ただ落ちていくような感じです。

カヌーでも、この瞬間に生きる、ということを言っていて、登山や岩と同じだと思いました。カヌーも激流下りなので、下ること、落下することのスリルを味わう、という活動みたい。

■　アセント？ディセント？

でも、私はスピードを出す活動より、じわっとゆっくり歩く活動の方があっていそうです。それに、落下する活動より、アセントする活動のほうがあっているような気がします。

バレエが上へ上へと上を希求するものだったので、そういう性向があるのかもしれません。一度、下へ下へと希求するダンスである、ヒップホップをやろうとしたら、全然できなかったし・・・。

The movies included Canoeing down the river, mountain skiing from heli drop off,  surfing in the isolated small gulf of somewhere in the North pole... much of the activities involved rather "decending"than "ascending", and I felt I may like more of ascending than descending.... descending, in a different word, falling, scares me off.

■疲れた日

映画は面白かったのですが、何しろ、岩に行った時みたいにドカッと疲れてしまいました・・・。頭が痛くなり、疲れた～。

I was pretty tired by the time we 've watched all the movies..... but there was another big stuff this day.  The Ontake mountain has exploded without giving us no at all notice nor a sign ... there were some hikers on that mountains today, some people were trapped in the thick clouds of the volcanic ashes.  It was a quit sight to see the explosion clouds. I was just stunned.

が、映画を観終わって、スマホの電源を入れたら・・・　御嶽山噴火・・・（汗）

え～？！

というわけで、なんだか精神的に忙しい一日。　御嶽山は、１０月初めに遠方から知人が来る予定で、その時、登りたいと言っていた山でした・・・。

うーん。もう登れませんね。明日は甲府にも灰が降るそうです。洗濯物はダメですね・・・

甲府に来てから、天災と言えるような自然現象が一杯、周辺に発生しています。

甲府に来て半年後くらいに、震災だったし・・・
去年は、びっくりの大雪・・・
今度は、御嶽山噴火・・・

なんだか色々起るなぁ・・・　山で地震があったら、さぞ怖いでしょう・・・

Ever since, we moved in Kofu, there are natural disasters... the quake happened in 6 month later we moved in, the last year we had a big snow as big as once in one hundred years... now the explosion of Ontake Mountain.
